Leading flooring manufacturer Flowcrete will be joining forces with specialist contractor KAN to launch the unique Floorzone concept, along with Isowarm underfloor heating, at the SelfBuild exhibition in Belfast.
Taking place at the King's Hall, Belfast, between 19 to 21 February 2010, the SelfBuild Show will feature new products and technologies to enable and promote sustainable building practices throughout Ireland. Flowcrete and KAN will be at stand number G3.
Floorzone incorporates the screed, soundproofing, heating and floor finish - all designed and supplied by Flowcrete and installed by Flowcrete approved contractor's such as KAN.
It includes all Flowcrete products ' namely Isocrete screeds, combined with Isocrete Acoustic K and Isowarm underfloor heating, as well as Flowcrete's range of seamless floor finishes.
Isowarm underfloor heating delivers energy savings of up to 25 per cent compared to conventional heating systems. As well as being available under the Floorzone system, this underfloor heating is available as a single system.
Flowcrete Floorzone offers economic benefits with reduced labour costs on site and faster installation times aiding building programmes overall. This, together with a considerable reduction in delivery journeys, provides a more sustainable approach.
Geoff Johnston of KAN Systems, which operates across Ireland and has its headquarters in Dublin, said: 'We are launching Isowarm underfloor heating system and the Floorzone concept into Ireland and are using this exhibition as the foundation to showcase these systems in the residential market.'
Alan Dean, sales director of Flowcrete, said: 'Our Floorzone system means that specifiers can achieve a high acoustic performance, time proven screed and energy saving underfloor heating ' along with a decorative floor finish from Flowcrete's extensive range - with just one contractor responsible for the entire procedure.
'It offers sustainable benefits, with all products arriving on site from one source, and the number of contractor visits to site reduced as well.
'Our Isowarm underfloor heating system is also working well with emerging technologies such as biomass boilers, as well as ground and air source pumps.'
